I want to go home I'm drenched to the bone with the tears I hold in while greedy fingers pick over bottomless plates I silently scream like a bird for her cage my wings are not use to this strange new thing called wind and I tire of the constant struggle and the other bids are so much more fine feathered than I I feel dull and plain flying alone and silent next to them which I didn't next to the dull grey steel that once surrounded me.

It was a perfectly normal memory board. It's criss-cross of ribbons held the ussual assortment of love and fond memories. Three kids beemed out of a coastal photograph while jefferson glowered from his green two dollar bill, in the opposite corner was a pink heart sporting the words "#1 lover" and an invitation to saturday night vibe held at the church of nazarene of which I had never gone to. I looked from one keepsake to another. A card here, a photo there, same old same old but one thing caught my eye. A folded up peice of notebook paper with the words "2: Sydney" hung in one forgotten corner of the board, to all else it might seem like

These words, colorfully written are as stark as blackened bones on a frozen lake, barely skimming, gently trimming the rim's surface of that woman's life, a woman who makes these charred skeletons pale by the frailty of the Darfur sand against Yesterday's shadow, black legs and rainbow sarong and her plastic green flip flops. Accio Brain Rock!!

Well okay so I'm currently a freshman and I'm also dating a freshman.... in college that is. Not only that but I broke up with his best friend who's a senior in order to do so.   Now, this probably isn't portraying me in the best light but it's really not as bad as it sounds. You see, i told said senior that I liked said freshman in college before we ever started dating but I didn't think I ever had a chance with him since 1. he was dating Ms. Perfect in the flesh (dancer, cheeleader, lead in our school play, pretty, a princess in our towns big celebration you get the jist) and 2. let's face it a plain little freshman and he's an amazing co
